Richmond ACE Academy

Though we're nearly two weeks removed from the Richmond ACE Academy, the joy of flight, inspiration of our future generation and overall gratitude of purpose still ring true as it did then. 25 bright students graduated from the 2023 OBAP - Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals Richmond ACE Academy sponsored by the Virginia Department of Aviation. Along with other supporters of JetBlue, Richmond International Airport (RIC), Richmond Executive Airport - Chesterfield County, VA, Nubian Village Academy for STEM., Virginia Commonwealth University and HOVA Flight Services, students engaged with aviation and aerospace professionals in this week long academy throughout the Richmond Metro Area. A sincere Thank You to NASA Langley Research Center for saving the day with T-1 left and immersing the students in Air & Space Exploration, Aerospace Engineering and research, and the overall history and importance of LaRC. And I would be remiss if I didn't thank the other Directors and volunteers (Nin Aseeya Ra-El, Lawrence Landa, Anna Green, Julian Hall and Boney Otieno Onyago) that made this happen. We've developed something special in Central Virginia and I personally can't wait until next year to do it again. #OBAP#aceacademy#doav#flyboy#flygirl#NASA#engineering#STEM#drones
