Sunday 2/19: Arrival
ARRIVE CAPE TOWN: After you collect your luggage and clear customs you will be met outside the terminal by Shuttle Service, who will transfer individuals and families by van to your selected hotel or apartment in Cape Town. (AC Cape Town or Atlantic Marina, Cape Town) Enjoy a day of leisure and rest.
Monday 2/20: Cape Town City Tour and US/Africa Welcome
Discover highlights of South Africa's history and culture on this hop-on/ hop-off city tour of Cape Town. Visit the city’s architectural treasures, including the historic City Hall building for an official SCI US/Africa Welcome. Take a stroll through the Two Oceans Aquarium to peek into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast, and enjoy a stop at the lush and beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Explore Cape Town's waterfront, from the central business district to the Victoria and Albert waterfront, with this hop-on hop-off sightseeing cruise. Along the way, listen to commentary on the city's maritime history and hop off at any point you like to explore further
Tuesday 2/21: Table Mountain, Penguins, and
Cape of Good Hope
With hotel pick up and drop off, you will be traveling to Table Mountain with a stop at Bo-Kaap, the historical colorful houses for memorable photo opportunities, and from here you will take a cable car to the top of the mountain. Then explore Camps Bay, Hout Bay with its seals' island before taking another stop on top of the scenic Chapman's peak. Finally, discover the once famed as Africa’s southernmost point, the Cape of Good Hope remains an icon for sailors and a spiritual place. Hike here from Cape Point, where legend states two oceans meet, on this convenient guided day trip. On the way, stop at Boulders Beach Penguin Colony (ticket own expense) to see African penguins and hear the distinctive call. Full-Day 8hrs
Wednesday 2/22: Langa & Gugulethu Township w/ Robben Island
Take a fascinating trip through South Africa’s difficult past on a tour of Cape Town and Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison. Visit the District Six Museum to get an in-depth look at the troubling history of apartheid in South Africa, and see how that system still impacts modern life in townships like Langa and Gugulethu. See how residents of these townships work to improve their lives and communities. Take a ferry to UNESCO-listed Robben Island for a tour of the former prison for political prisoners. Full Day 9hrs
Thursday 2/23: Big 5 Game Safari Full Day w/ Transfers
Now you can experience the real heartbeat of Africa on a luxury Private Game Reserve famous for having the Big 5 and a host of other reintroduced safari game only +/- 2.5 hours drive from Cape Town!
Spotting the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo—is a priority for many visitors to South Africa and this tour is ideal for those with limited time. Friday 2/24: Traditional African Cultural Celebration
Enjoy a day of leisure exploring a vibrant community in the heart of Woodstock where talented people come together to share, collaborate and show off their heartfelt passions. The Old Biscuit Mill is home to dynamic office spaces, a range of workshops and designer stores, decadent restaurants, food stalls as well as an inspiring line-up of day and night-markets, festivals and productions. Come and explore the Old Biscuit Mill and meet some of South Africa’s most innovative and creative designers, artists, photographers and connoisseurs of fine taste and décor.
Spend an exhilarating evening dining at Gold Restaurant. An immersive African experience through a14 dish food safari and unique live entertainment, with storytelling, singing, and dancing. This is an evening of African culture and celebration, curated by our Pan African Team. The entire 14 dish menu is served at your table in sharing and individual portions; you may order as much as you like from the menu at no extra cost.

Transfer to the Cape Town Airport for your return flight to USA
